28.75" Katana with 2" extended chu kissaki

This blade has loads of activity including many yo (hardened footprints) floating above the hamon proper. The blade is currently finished to approxiamately 400 grit (binsuido) and comes with a copper habaki made by myself.  I've listed options for full polish in shirasaya or full mounts as well. For this blade I wanted to emulate a cloud theme throughout starting with the hamon.  I put multiple centered hardened spots throughout the shinogi on both sides of the blade (clouds) with an underlying very active choji midare representing the churning ocean.  The Saya is ribbed for the first third and lacquered in navy blue gloss with gold dust in between the color and clear coats.  Ito is navy blue silk with steel cloud fuchi and kashira, dragon menuki and tamahagane sukashi tsuba done by myself.

The photos were taken with the blade in an Iai polish and I have since upgraded the blade to a full art polish as I felt the magnificent activity was deserving a more focused polish.
