This page is dedicated solely to the work of my apprentice, Josiah Boomershine. A place for Josiah to showcase and sell his available work.  This also helps him to earn an income and learn the business end of the craft while apprenticing full time.

Many of the blades Josiah makes will have been joint efforts involving both our labor and every blade he finishes is fully inspected by me and receives my full endorsement prior to sale.
Shobu Zukuri Tanto

Forged from W2 during last years seminar.  While polishing the blade I noticed prominent utsuri (shadowing) in the ji above the yakiba. The blade has a robust shape with a very active midare hamon.  More pictures available upon request.

Here is a nice tsuba that is a modified antique design. There is a prominent grain structure that is visible in any light. It is finished in sabi suke (rust patina) where rust is built up on the surface of the steel and then boiled in a tanic solution to stabilize it. I've only displayed this tsuba so there is not distortion of the nakago ana from mounting.
Height/Width: 3" 7/16
